It’s the most wonderful time of the year again, and there’s no better way to ring in the Christmas season than by purchasing a gorgeous tree to deck out your festive home. Check out these Austin spots to choose the best tree for this year’s holiday season.

Papa Noel Trees

Open until trees run out
The South Austin Optimist Club will be selling Christmas trees while the benefits go toward several worthy programs: South Austin Optimist Youth Baseball, Football, and Cheer at the Ric and Carmen Castaneda Sports Complex at Garrison Park. Also, $2 from every tree sold will go toward the Wounded Warrior Project. Trees will be available until they’re sold out, so hurry over to Garrison Park as soon as possible.

Elgin Christmas Tree Farm

Open until Dec. 18
In 1984, Bill and Kaye Walton planted their first Christmas trees in Elgin, and it’s been a success ever since. Opened since the day after Thanksgiving, get your Virginia Pine or Leyland Cypress to make this year’s tree the best one yet. Height ranges from less than four feet to 14 feet with prices from $28 to as much as $142.

Evergreen Farms Christmas Trees

Open until Dec. 24
Once more, Elgin proves to be an ideal location for Christmas tree shopping with Evergreen Farms. During the Christmas season, the farm provides varying hours for Christmas tree purchasing. From Virginia Pine to Leyland Cypress to Arizona Cypress, each tree is given special care to create and maintain its beautiful shape. All fields function on a drip irrigation system that conserves water and ensures the healthiest trees.

Brungot Farms

Trees available until Christmas
Brungot Farm’s Christmas trees will be returning to the Twin Lakes YMCA in Cedar Park for another year. Pick out your Christmas tree on Saturdays and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekdays until Christmas from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. While you’re scoping out the perfect Christmas tree, make sure to pick up a few wreaths as well.
